Hopes to get to Myanmar by sailing across the river by boat were unsucessful and ended in deportation from the Burmese border back to Bangladesh.
Myanmar was closed due to the unrest of the Rohingya (Muslim minority)
The Border Guard took me away from the river that separates two countries, to prevent me jumping into the water and to swim to the other side.
They politely drove me along the fence of their local prison to have a look at fantastic wall posters informing people of what kind of punishment you can get for one or another crime. And after that they let me go back to Dhaka.
On the way back, we managed to see the huge cluster of ships at the mouth of the river with the funny name Karnaphuli. Really spectacular view.
